@philonetic the bugatti veyron isn’t a track car. But nothing against the corvette I love that the corvette zr1 is one of the fastest cars to ever do a lap around the nurburgring

The PRODUCTION model of the Veyron is also electronically limited to 253mph, where the PRODUCTION model of the Aero I tops out at 257.43mph, I think it was Top Gear that took the PRODUCTION Aero I to 256.14 mph. So for the publicly available production models, the Aero I is still 3mph+ faster. Not to mention, the Veyron has a horrible skidpad g (turning ability) of 0.89g. That’s less than a 2012 Buick Regal.

Actually it’s not, it just had a higher average between 2 passes than the Aero I, but it didn’t go as fast as the Aero I in a single pass. The Veyron also hits a physical maximum speed of 272mph in wind tunnel tests where the Aero I is near 280mph and the Tuatara is 280mph+. Also it’s pretty sad that the $2.4 million dollar veyron gets stomped on Nurburgring by a $50,000 Z06 by 18 seconds per lap.

It is currently the fastest car in the world because the Tuatara is not actually a car yet. They keep claiming that it can do all these great things but until they can put it all together on the road the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport is the fastest car in the World.

Fastest real world 0-60 so far is a 2.8.
The Veyron cannot exceed 272mph in wind tunnel tests. The Tuatara, the successor of the Aero I, has shown itself to be capable of 280+ in wind tunnel tests.
The Aero I pulled off a faster top speed run during the official top speed test, though the tests are based on 2 passes and the average turned out lower. Some claim that this is due to the testing conditions. The Veyron used a 5 mile oval, where the Aero I used a 2 mile back road.
