@philtripe so if the audi has a 2.2L and puts out 800hp, and the nova is at least a 5.7L putting out 1000hp, your saying the audi has more parasitic loss? math seems off. yes, awd does loose power and the awd system (and possibly abs) adds a ton of weight, but it doesnt loose power like an old drivetrain. i know, i own a built nova and have owned 4×4/awd cars as well.

@radoslaw123456789 200HP more is pretty fair, being that the nova is heavier, has old school posi-traction, and the drivetrain loses WAY more power to the wheels then the audi does. its a pretty fair match. im a nova man, but if the audi had a good driver it would have been a closer race.

@DerekBeck87 used to be the case, but probably not at the highest end cars anymore. I used to have a 740il, and that thing was packed w/safety gear, was solid as a rock in wind and high speed, and while heavy as a tank, was quite nimble and quick…reading a car mag article didn’t do the driving experience justice. Now, 40 yrs ago if a caddy hit a bmw….one less euro-queer.
